Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you, not a throwback pattern, but my latest one, the OLD ROSE SHAWL! I designed this DK weight shawl as a birthday gift for my mother-in-law, but unfortunately I still haven't been able to give her because of the restrictions and lockdown here in Santiago. The shawl is worked in a squishy garter stitch and a delicate and easy lace pattern, knitted flat from the top down. This elegant shawl and its surprisingly easy lace is a great option for knitters who are venturing themselves for the first time in lace knitting or want to build up on their lace knitting skills.
The pattern comes in 2 sizes, but it is also easily adjustable to your available yardage, and it’s clean design also works great with more than one color. You can check out the testers projects on Ravelry here.
The sample features Lanabel Shetland 50% wool 50% acrylic 300m/100g (328 yd/3.5 oz) in colorway Rosa Antiguo 39, shown in size shawlette.
I hope you like it!
